How to Enroll at Axiom Aviation

- Get your FAA medical certificate from an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner.
- Secure financing: pay out of pocket or apply with one of our loan partners.
- Start-up interview: we assign your flight instructor and set your start date.
Flight School Admissions FAQs
What are the requirements to start flight school at Axiom Aviation?
New students need a campus tour, an FAA medical certificate, a payment or financing plan, and a start-up interview. Requirements vary by program; licensed pilots joining advanced programs also submit their logbook and certificates.
Do I need any flying experience to apply?
No. The Private Pilot Program and Zero to Hero start from zero. The Career Pilot Program and Accelerated CFI are for students who already hold pilot certificates.
What FAA medical certificate do I need?
Axiom asks students to get an FAA medical certificate before training starts; we recommend a first-class medical if you plan to fly for an airline. Find an examiner with the FAA AME locator.
How old do I have to be to start flight training?
You can start lessons at any age. The FAA allows you to solo at 16, earn a Private Pilot certificate at 17 and a Commercial Pilot certificate at 18.
Can I tour the flight school before I enroll?
Yes. Schedule a free tour at any campus, or book a discovery flight to try flying with an instructor.
Which Axiom location should I choose?
Pick the campus closest to home: Ogden-Hinckley Airport (KOGD) for Northern Utah and the Wasatch Front, St. George Regional (KSGU) for Southern Utah and Cedar City, or Idaho Falls Regional (KIDA) for Eastern Idaho.
How do I pay for flight school?
Pay out of pocket, pay as you go, use a loan from one of our financing partners, or use tuition reimbursement through the SkyWest Pilot Pathway.
